Committed to Recovery

Overwhelmed with Love — And Committed to Recovery

We are completely overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support for flood victims here in Ohio County, West Virginia. The devastation from the flash flooding has broken so much—homes, belongings, and routines—but it has not broken our West Virginia spirit.

We were hit again last night with another unexpected flash flood, adding to the heartbreak so many families are already facing. Lives have been lost. Families displaced. Memories washed away. And while our hearts break deeply for those grieving and hurting, we stand firm in our commitment to help rebuild—together.

At Appalachian Outreach, we will continue to work tirelessly to meet the needs of our neighbors—today, tomorrow, and in the months ahead. We will always remember those we’ve lost, and we will never stop showing up for those who remain.

If you feel led to help in this recovery, monetary donations are greatly needed and can be mailed to:

Thank you for standing with us. Hope is not lost—it lives in every act of kindness we see, every item given, every helping hand extended. West Virginia will rise again. 💙
